Some people have asked me to write about 1) news that some Eastern group had a liturgy with a woman functioning as a deacon and 2) a Jesuit-run conference held at Jesuit-run Fordham in NYC with a Jesuit speaker, Fr. Pottier, and Ms. Zagano, about deaconettes, deaconesses, female deacons, whatever, moderated by Fr. Rosica of Salt and Light.  There was also an OP nun, chancellor for Card. Tobin in Newark, to talk about how deaconettes would be accepted in parishes (anecdotes).
