In this post-modern period, the Catholic Church in Canada has hailed to defend Christian parents and family life. Instead of boldly standing firm for the faith, with some exceptions, the bishops of Canada have gone silent. We believe it began when the chose not to defend Pope Pual VI’s encyclical Humanae Vitae in 1968. The faithful were told to follow their consciences about the use of contraception, and not always Church teaching.
